The Practical Nursing Student Handbook is designed to provide students with important information regarding program policies, procedures, academic requirements, clinical expectations, and student services. Students are responsible for reading, understanding, and complying with all handbook policies as a condition of enrollment and participation in the program.
The handbook serves as a guide and resource throughout the educational experience; however, it is not intended to be a contract between the student and the Practical Nursing Program, the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County, or any affiliated clinical agency.
The Practical Nursing Program reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify policies, procedures, curriculum, schedules, and requirements as necessary to comply with changes in accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing regulations, clinical agency requirements, or institutional needs. Students will be notified of substantive changes in a timely manner.
